Founded in 2006 by sustainability pioneer, Judi Schweitzer, a seasoned real estate development, design, and economics professional, with decades of multi-disciplinary Sustainable Real Estate Development experience of “Applied Sustainability” at scale.

Schweitzer + Associates, Inc. (S+A) is a strategic real estate development consulting firm that helps clients implement sustainable community development and green building solutions that optimize the overall value of their properties, projects and portfolios throughout the real estate life cycle. 

Experience includes decades of being a trusted advisor to investors/fund managers, legacy landowners, master planned real estate developers, residential resort communities, higher education, and utilities.

Judi’s ongoing research contributes practical solutions and insights to the industry’s understanding and quantification of the value proposition of green and sustainable developments.  She is developing proprietary tools that will enable true cost pricing, and total cost accounting/valuation that addresses total costs and benefits, both market (economic) and external (global impacts) for various stakeholders in development and design decisions.

Judi has designed and taught the inaugural Sustainable Real Estate Development Course through the Master of Real Estate Development Program at USC, and is in the process of helping to design a new Sustainability Certificate program for Truman State University who is a preferred provider for Boeing Corporation.

Judi is a sought-after lecturer and speaker on Sustainable Real Estate Development and Sustainable Economics; she has published a variety of articles on the subject and is the co-author and major contributor to Urban Land Institute’s best-selling book; Developing Sustainable Planning Communities.
